  • 26th - Waddon Ponds: Black-headed Gull with ring VBA (intial enquiries suggest it was ringed in Denmark - watch this space), at least two broods of Little Grebes, Coot carrying nest material, others on nests. (JB)

  • 20th - Central Croydon: 13 Cormorants over 11.05, flying west in a 'V' formation; also one male Peregrine. (Alan Pearson)

  • 19th - Pollards Hill South-2 juv.Stock Dove feeding under bird table.1 juv male Sparrowhawk(2nd day), 1 Grey Wagtail still around gardens.(MJN)
  • 19th -  : Several Skylarks singing, 3 Bullfinches, 3 Stock Doves, 3 Swifts, 8+ House Martins but surprisingly I didn't see (or hear) a Jackdaw. (JB)

  • 10th - Brickfields Meadow: Sparrowhawk carrying food, 2 singing Blackcaps, singing Chiffchaff, pair Coots with 3 young, 130+ Feral Pigeons, 3 singing Greenfinches, 2 singing Goldfinches. (JB)
  • 10th - South Norwood CP: in between bouts of torrential rain - 50+ Swifts, male Reed Bunting, 1 Kestrel, Great Crested Grebe on nest. (JB)
  • 10th - South Croydon: male Firecrest (killed by a car?) found in road. (per JB)
  • 10th - Whitehorse Meadow, South Norwood (late am): a dissappointing 18 only species recorded during 1+ hour visit, incl group of 3 Chiffchaffs and a single Blackcap & Swift (Gavin Hawgood)
  • 9th - Croydon (High Street): Grey Wagtail carrying food to a roof top. (JB)
  • 9th - South Norwood Country Park: Peregrine quite low over Ryelands Field going south 8.55am, 2 Mute Swan, 2 Great Crested Grebe, Sparrowhawk, Kestrel, Lesser Black-backed Gull, 3 Stock Dove, 21 Swift, Kingfisher, Reed Warbler, Reed Bunting (JAH)
  • 9th - South Croydon (Sanderstead Road): flyover Peregrine at tree-top height going south 9.04am (Mike Earp) Potentially same bird as that over SNCP 9 minutes earlier. (JB)

  • 3rd - Croham Park Avenue: just after 5pm. two Mute Swans heading from NW to SE. (John Kennedy)
