  • 25th - Lloyd Park: 2 Kestrel - an adult female flew into the presumed nest cavity with another less bright female-type bird (presumably one of last season's offspring) landing in another tree close by. (John Parish)

  • 22nd - South Norwood Country Park: A flock of 114 Carrion Crows was notable. (Alan Pearson)
  • 22nd - Sanderstead: female Brambling in garden at 11.30, also 1 Goldcrest. At 13:30 1 Brambling, 1 Lesser Redpoll plus Chaffinch, Greenfinch, Goldfinch and Ring-necked Parakeet all in same tree! About 14:30 finches back again, this time with the unexpected bonus of a Mealy Redpoll!!! (JB)

  • 16th - Farthing Downs/Happy Valley: 4 wren in song, 3 goldcrest, 4 song thrush, 4 fieldfare and 10 redwing, great, blue, long tailed and coal tit, 2 great spotted woodpecker, 6 ring necked parakeets, dunnock, 2 treecreepers,nuthatch calling, established house sparrow colony at Corp of London farm buildings still present, common, herring and black headed gulls over, distant buzzard over, sparrowhawk too, 4 goldfinch, 5 chaffinch and 7 greenfinch, 6 bullfinch.   • 7th - very edge of our area(?) - Caterham-on-the-Hill Tesco carpark, next to Coldstream Way: c.30 Waxwing, briefly in tall tree then flew north at 12.20pm. Not found in 'The Vllage' in subsequent searching, so probably headed on over Coulsdon Common (Alan Pearson)
