WAS: Jump into Acrom’s blind spot and strike him

From Create Your Own Story

A wounded lion is always dangerous. Despite being blinded by his own blood Acrom continues to fight on. If anything the adversity makes him an even more difficult foe. He has an troublingly calm facial expression, smiling lightly but not enough to show any arrogance or joy. Acrom knows that you will take advantage of his weakness, he sees you fake to the right but never flinches.

Then as you jump in for the kill, Acrom is ready. The children of Hysta call it the berserker; if you’re going to die then you might as well take your foe with you. He swings wildly trying to pulverize your face with his fists. You avoid the blows and sting him with a combination of punches. Instead of falling down he leaps forward and headbutts you. This causes a cut above your eye, just like the one you’ve inflicted on Acrom. Blow flows down to your eye and blinds you. Now you’re on equal footing, half blind and stunned. Acrom smiles, now there is no more strategy to be made. All that is left is for the two of you to stand and strike until one falls.

You did not know how many punches you threw, or how many you landed, you only knew that it wasn’t enough. Acrom’s thick skull wouldn’t let him lose. It allowed him to keep fighting, keep throwing swing that connected to your head. After taking those swings to your head you weren’t in any better condition than him. The both of you were operating in a state where only murder mattered. He punched you, you punched him. Repeat a couple of times and hear the roar from the audience. Even the children of Hysta who were normally so cold were screaming at Acrom to kill you. When a human is reduced to this state, a state where only kill or be killed mattered. The greater warrior always wins. No slip ups, no advantages, no interference only the hearth matters. Acrom was the one who saw red.

Somehow one of your strikes manage to put him out of his misery. It dropped him but you stood firm and continue punching nothing but air for a few seconds before realizing he fell. When someone has entered the state you are in there is no choice. You kill but do not think. Act without mercy. You limp over to Acrom’s fallen body and stomp on his head a few times until his brain juice begins running out through his nose.

Knowing that he’s dead you fall to your knees, you do not notice the cheers of the audience, the mercenaries in your corner running towards you or the screams of your slaves. You simply collapse in the sand next to the dead man.
