By nightfall you regain have regained consciousness. Although you wish you didn’t, the scourge pain brought on by your injuries are too painful to describe. Every attempted movement brings on a paralyzing pain worse than dying. You try to move certain parts of your body, your left arm, your right leg, your pinky toe. After much experiment you find that your left eyeball is the only part of your body that is still under your command. Although the view is a bit hazy. The right one however is busted, a terrible swelling prevents you from opening it. Now you have to really on your sight because all your other senses are numbed by the intense pain in your body
You look around the room trying to identify your surroundings. You’re in a bed no doubt probably belonging to someone important judging by how soft it is. In the corner of your eye you spot two blurry figures. It takes you sometime to figure out who they are but the answer is of course obvious. It’s your property, Helena and Lyna kneeling besides your bed weeping and praying silently. Your slaves show their devotion to you, viewing you as the center of their universe even in your current broken down state. Their womanly sympathies are however not necessary, if you could only move your muscles then your face would be decorated with the big, fat smile of a victor.
Another figure moves into your line of sight. He stands perfectly still given you time to identify him properly. It’s a sign of respect, whoever this man is he understands your pain. With your blurry vision it takes time to recognize what exactly you’re looking at so he simply gives you the time you need. Your brain makes the necessary connection and it tells you that its Kayumar who stands before you. Something in your eye gives your thoughts away; Kayumar understands that you recognize him so he leans in close to you until he is close enough for you to wisper in his ear. You only have the strength to mutter one word. What do you say?
