From Create Your Own Story
Please make sure to include the title of the story as a category on each page you post. If you don't know how to add categories, please review the Tutorial, especially Basic page format. --Dirty Me 15:06, 15 March 2014 (UTC)
You need to put options on pages, or else it is not a Create Your Own Adventure. If you are unsure what options you want to put, at least put a note so readers know you will add options later. Otherwise, the pages will be deleted. --Dirty Me 15:18, 15 March 2014 (UTC)
I notice you are writing alot. That is pretty good ^.^ Always nice to see people don't just write a couple pages, then never work on their story again. I have noticed though that there are many grammar errors. It happens. I have enough of my own issues. But, if I may recommend: I have found it is better to put it in Word or something, then run a grammar/spelling check. At least the most obvious mistakes are caught then.
I also notice you tend to make your links slightly different. It probably isn't a problem, I don't know, but I know the standard way is:
*[[Next path]]
*[[Different path]]
The * in front will make it appear with the outline sort of form.
- Like this
- and this
Then it is more consistent. Just wanted to mention it. --Dirty Me 05:46, 19 March 2014 (UTC)
lol, well, 1 pointer I guess. Click my name and put it on my talk page, otherwise I will only see it if I paid attention to the recently edited logs. The pages will be like this: User talk:DirtyMeStoryTime --Dirty Me 13:39, 19 March 2014 (UTC)
For endings, normally it is recommended to put two, the main category and an Ending category.
The standard design is:
[[Category:Story Name]]
[[Category:Endings]]
Personally, I prefer marking my endings, but within my own story category system, like:
Another design is:
[[Category:Story Name]]
[[Category:Story Name Endings]]
For instance, on my endings, I will put:
[[Category:Dirty Me]]
[[Category:Dirty Me Endings]]
Of course, I have an advanced category system, so that people can see what type of scenes are in, so I might even put more than two categories.
If you decide to put a [[Category:Story Name Endings]], I suggest when you click the red link and make the page, you also put [[Category:Story Name]]. It will then cause the endings you create to be a sub-category of the main category. You can take a look at my Dirty Me categories (sorry, removed the category link because it put your user talk as one of the pages of my story...) and see what I mean, where it will have multiple subcategories for different types of sex scenes, like Flashing, Public Use, just sex, masturbation, etc. Basically, I think the ending categories are just so people know that path has ended, so they don't wonder where the links are.
I set that up because I got tired of adding in more sex scene links on the category page, so just put in multiple categories on the pages I create. But, it is up to you how you want to do it, because, I guess I like overly complicating things sometimes xD --Dirty Me 15:21, 20 March 2014 (UTC)
P.S. Forgot to answer your other question. If you made a mistake and don't want that page any more, just edit it and delete everything. Platypus will normally delete the page at that time. I personally prefer to mention it to him on his talk page so he doesn't need to look through the recent pages log to find it. It makes his job easier, at least, I would assume it does xD But that is up to you. Just delete all the content, because only Admins can actually delete the page completely, and I am not an admin, just a story writer ^.^ --Dirty Me 15:27, 20 March 2014 (UTC)
Just to let you know,I notice you are still forgetting to put options on some of the pages. Careful, I am not the one who enforces the rules, but I do want to warn you if Platypus finds too many, he may ban you. Given you normally remember, I doubt he will do that, but just want to remind you so you don't have to worry about it to put your categories. You can just copy this if it makes it easier: [[Category:Pokemon: Gotta Sex 'em all! Kanto Edition]] --Dirty Me 07:24, 20 March 2014 (UTC)
Yes, you DO need to put the category on every page in your story, even endings. --Platypus 14:45, 20 March 2014 (UTC)
