Trust in your weapons and your pendant and fight the mummies

You have weapons. You have a magical pendant. You have lethal hand-to-hand combat skills. And there's only three of them. You're not going to run away now.
Knowing that bullets can't stop the mummies, you draw your sword and advance on them confidently. The mummies' bandaged hands glow red and they aim their demonic glow at you. Once again, the pendant does its job and you keep walking, unharmed.
Dodging blows from the mummies, you decapitate the first one and stab your sword right into the bandaged head of the second. Twisting it to make a large, triangle-shaped hole, you pull it out with a squishing sound. The last mummy lets out a growl as its comrades collapse to the cold stone floor, stone cold dead. You cut off its right arm as it reaches out to strangle you.
Suddenly, with surprising speed, the monster kicks you in the stomach. Feeling terrible pain, you fall to the ground, clutching your gut. You feel your body. Nothing seems to be permanently damaged, at least. You give thanks for all the stomach crunches you do to get your hard six-pack abs. An ordinary person without that layer of protective muscle probably would have had his organs ruptured by the strength of that kick.
The mummy tries to stomp on your face, but you cut off its foot, then its other one. The creature falls over. You get back to your feet with a kip-up, pick up a large rock, and drop it onto the mummy's head, squashing it. Picking up your sword, you do a pair of one-armed standing back handsprings into a back tuck. Landing elegantly, you stand ready in a fighting stance with your sword, staying alert until you're sure that no more enemies are near. You finally allow yourself to relax as your heart rate slowly returns to normal.
"That all you got, you slimy bastards?" you mutter. Sword in hand, you advance further along the tunnel.
A few hundred yards further on, a side passage opens out from the main one. Peering into it, you can see that it leads to a large open room with an ancient Inca ceremonial altar in the middle. You pause to listen. Everything seems to be quiet.
