Lightening

You focus your energies and feel the world around you giving you power. You draw both of your hands back and cup them. Something starts to glow inside, and you throw it forward with your right hand, extending your fingers to direct and release it. With a thunderous snap, a bolt of pure lightening shoots from your hand and hits the skinny goblin directly in his chest. His shriek is barely heard as the lightening pierces him instantly, leaving a burnt circle on his chest, he falls over, dead.
The other goblin approaches. He smiles deviously as he grips his ax. You wonder if he is smart enough to know that you cant use that much magic again for a while. This battle could end many different ways.
