While you are trying to decide if you should head back, Will starts another attempt, this time with a blonde girl. She seems to react friendly, but noncommittal. Once more, Will finds himself turned down. He certainly didn't pick a good location to pick up girls; it is rather unlikely for him to fínd a girl open for advances in a setting like this. Will finds a food place where he buys a coke. He sits at a table and scans the surroundings. Another blond girl attracts his attention, but the outcome is the same as before. Poor Will.
You follow him around and watch a final attempt, a redhead like yourself. It makes no difference. This last rejection seemed to have had an impact on his self conciousness.
It breaks your heart to see the look on his face. He may not be the most built guy who draws girls with his looks, but he isn't ugly, and he is a decent and funny guy. At the right place, he surely would not have problems in chatting up some nice girl, but it seems as if he lacks experience. You wonder if he will take today's experience too much to heart. Should you try to boost his confidence?
