Julianne takes the seat behind the cab driver and signals you to do the same. The rear bench has no seat belt for the middle position, and the cab driver will not allow you to sit there without a seat belt. As embarrassing as it is, you have no choice but to sit in your mother's lap. You hesitate before sitting down. You can either part your legs and have Julianne put hers in between, or you can sit on her right thigh. Both sitting positions have their pros and cons. The seat belt will disallow adjustments during the drive, you better choose what is more comfortable for you.
