Downfall/Evening Day 1 SHP 0-0-8-0

From Create Your Own Story

You take turns to choose which restaurant to eat in. For dinner, it is Cate's turn. Your sister picks an Indian place. You don't like the Indian cuisine much; the spices are too unusual compared to your usual diet. You are limited to curry and chicken tikka masala. You order the latter. Cate and the children aren't picky eaters like you. They have a variety of dishes for everybody to choose from.

After dinner, you take Cate to the side and ask her if she can stay away from your cabin for about an hour.

"Oh? Are you having a fling with someone?"

"Nothing like that. I need to have a talk with Debbie."

"Why so serious? What did little angel darling do?"

"It's just a precaution."

"Tell you what, Jules. I wanted to booze up in a nice bar and you keeping me company, but I can manage to drink on my own, so take all the time you want. In return, you're going to pick me up there so I won't get lost on the way to the cabin. Deal?"

"How much are you planning to drink?"

"Enough to make up for the last months. I didn't have a drink in ages, darling."

"See you later, Cate."

You signal Debra to follow you to your cabin. You make her sit down on the chair while you stand for the lecture to have a greater effect on her. Debra looks so uncomfortable that you keep the lesson short. She knows she did wrong (and if you are honest, so did you by helping her to avoid being caught in the act.

At the end of the lecture, Debra apologises for her misbehavior and promises never to do something like this again. You believe her. Now there is only one thing to do; she has to admit that Kirsten was behind this. You cannot imagine that Debra would get the idea to steal something in the first place.

You inquire Debra in this direction, but she won't admit Kirsten had anything to do with it. No matter how you to urge her to confess, she just won't tell on her sister. You are annoyed and proud at the same time about her loyalty. But can you allow Kirsten to get away with this?
