"I should check. If everything is alright", you thought. "Ellen was upset. Maybe, she'll need some help."
And you silently went upstairs. If they found common ground - you better not interrupt it by your appearance, if they didn't - you could find other solution.
At first you heard only voices. "That's normal in your age," Ellen's voice said.
"I just can't control myself," Shaun answered. "All I could do is to run away, before I hit his smiling snout."
"I'm understand. Difficult to endure taunts near the woman you in love with."
"How...?" He was wordless.
You very quietly sneaked to the doorway. Then you looked inside. Ellen and Shaun sat on your marriage bed together. Her hand gently caressed his leg to console him.

"But I feel like I'm doing something wrong. She is your friend and has a husband."

"I hope I will," he said.
"You will," she said confidently, "and maybe she will be closer than you think," with that word she leaned against him and kissed his lips. Her hand still caressed his leg, but in these circumstances it was a sexual play.
Shaun was motionless from astonishment. But after a few seconds he responded to her kiss and their tongues danced simultaneously.
Suddenly she pulled away and said, "No, stop it. That's wrong. We shouldn't do this," after these words you went back before anyone noticed your presence, because she was obviously about to get away from there.
When you already left the doorway, you heard, "But, why? You've started it and you liked it. I know. I felt it," that was said by Shaun.
"No, no, no. I'm your mother and if something went wrong I'll be the one who'll be strict enough to stop it." And she left the room, but you already were out of sight. She left downstairs. Shaun did the same after a couple of minutes.
