“Well, here we are.” Fiona says as you arrive at her house along your way to school. “I guess this is where we part ways.”
“Actually,” you say, “I started out pretty early, I could probably stop by for a while.”
“Oh, really!” she says, clasping her hands together in an excited gesture, “well, come on in! There is a lot to talk about, and maybe you could even meet little Samantha.”
“Huh?” You respond, a little confused.
“Oh, I thought I had mentioned her. My grand daughter? She got herself expelled from her old school, got into an all out fist fight over a boy, so she was sent here. Can you believe that? She's only in middle school! I have managed to straighten her out a little, but she is definitely a problem child.”
What? How had you missed that? Well, yeah, you guess she probably did say something about her grand daughter when you were all zoned out, but you had somehow missed the part about her living here now!
“Well then, shall we?” Fiona asks as she steps up to the door and opens it. You follow her in and allow her to guide you in to the dining area. She had mentioned this Samantha, but just to look around you really wouldn't know she was sharing this house with anyone, there wasn't any sight of the girl she was talking about. “Here, sit down,” the woman says, gesturing toward the table. “Would you like anything to drink dear?” She asks.
