Vágar is one of the largest municipalities in Kalduroyar with ca. 800 inhabitants. It's administrated from Suðurvág, where Vesturhavnar Airport Vágar is also located. The other villages in Vágar is Trongisvág and Norðurvág. The name Vágar means bays, and the respective villages' names means southern bay (Suðurvág), narrow bay (Trongisvág), and northern bay (Norðurvág).
