The Outsider is the debut Japanese single from indie Hip Hop group DIGITAL SOUL. It is the Japanese version of their title track off their Korean debut mini album Outsider's Soul 1.0. The song was able to debut in the Oricorn Top 10 Daily Chart at #8 and shortly moved onto #3. Later the week the song successfully became the #3 most popular on Oricorn Weekly Chart and is the best debut of any group this year by far. The single sold 70,000 copies on the first day and broke the record of the best selling single on the first day by any new group by this year and is continued to top the high sales chart. The song won #3 weekly awards on Music Station as the most popular weekly song for consecutive weeks.

The single is produced by composer Moving Ghost and features a eight beat divided into two which is new in terms of pop music in Japan. The origional version of this song which is the Korean track off the group's debut album Outsider's Soul 1.0 was composed by Lee Yeon Joo with lyrics by E-Tribe. With a slow but up beat melody the song features a story about a person being an outsider when it comes to a three way relatonship. The lyrics contribute to its emotions and the way an outsider sees how the relationship works.
