Marriage Songs otherwise known previously before release as T.O.F (Types of Love) is the first studio album and the fourth full album after 悲しみ, Liar Liar Liar and Country Circus by Dll Ini. It was officially announced in April 2012 for release and production was reported to have started rigt after the release of her last full album. On May 15 audio preview were revealed exclusively on Dll Ini's official website. The album was released digitally and offline May 27, 2012 with an additional limited first edition also available.
The album was met with great commercial success. It easily topped the Oricon Weekly Albums Chart and, with just one week of sales became the best selling album of 2012 in Japan at one point. In the same month, it was already certified Million by the Recording Industry Association of Japan for shipments of over one million copies.

Right after the release of her last album Country Circus which was a commerical success but suffered from poor ratings from professional critics due to her musical style change, she immediately began on working new materials. She was reported to have kept only all the composers she worked with on the previous album that received good reception. Early May Dll Ini herself revealed the album will be titled Marriage Songs and the equal news that she is engaged to a non-celebrity. The album is mainly inspired by their relationship. It was also known she invited an collaboration work with label mate actress singer composer Ophelia to work on the album together. Within a few days she then revealed the list of featured artists on the album: singer Naoya Urata, band Abington Boy School and idol singer Jin Akani; all male artists. This is the largest number of artists working with her on her album. "This album is heavily about istincitive different vocal and gives off different feelings. Hopefully the readers themselves can relate more to the tracks based on who the featured artist is," as she personallye xplained on her blog.
The following month an official announcement was revealed on the company's official website of the completed tracklist, one song per day. It totaled into ten completely new tracks and a limited first publication version album will be available with bonus new versions and PVs included. This symolises that this will be Dll Ini's first musical release where she will release two versions of physical copies.

Commercial performance
Marriage Songs was sold in 601,985 copies in its debut week, topping the Oricon Weekly Albums Chart. Four months later, the album was certified Million by the Recording Industry Association of Japan for shipments of over one million copies including oversea sales.
Critical response
Marriage Songs was extremely well received by music critics, it was able to receive an average of 80% per score, an increased 18% from her last album Country Circus. It was unable to beat the score high of 87% reached by Dll Ini's second album Liar Liar Liar. Professionals praised her improvement in music style and feature artist choices.
The general public and fans equally favoured the album - it was the highest selling album of 2012 at one point for three months.
