Plot
Heart Thief is a movie between a robot girl that was created by accident and in the process of it, something went wrong. Instead of processing strong powers and incredible skills Hae Song Eum (Kei Nangon) has a mental age of a five year old stuck in a young adult's body. She meets a group of young determined university students that tries to help her solve the problem. With this she meets Ha Min Jae (Shin Jeon Mun), a university top neurology research student. As they try to discover what the problem is, Min Jae falls in love with Song Eum without knowing she is actually not real. He believed that if he was able to fix the 'problem', there could be a chance for them.
As the story commences, another robot Sim Wang Jeon (Park Min Jun) who is incharge of finding false made cyborgs discovers Song Eum. With this he witness what is going on between Song Eum and Min Jae and in the end decides to help. He replaces the computer operating chip of Song Eum with another complete and one of the most successfully made handome male robot named Yoo Myung Joon (Hoon Tae Min). Instead of transfering the "brains" along with the knowledge, a mistake was made and Song Eum completely becomes Myung Joon, trapped in his body with his appearance but she now has a mature mind of a normal twenty year old. She returns to Min Jae silently as a normal student that admires his research but unable to acknlowedge who she really is. Eventually Min Jae discovers that Song Eum is missing but unable to realise she's right next to him the whole time - as a strange in the body of the robot Myung Joon.
Slowly Song Eum realises Min Jae's feelings for her as he is eager to find out where she is and she starts to feel the same and decides to take action and let him know about the truth. However Min Jae fails to realise that Myung Joon is actually Song Eum and begins to think he is a homosexual male and things begin to get complicated.
Character Information
Hae Song Eum / 해송음 / 海宋茵: The uncompleted cyborg which was suppose to be perfect. Charming image, model height, smart and outstanding in many ways. However during the process of finishing it, an unexpected act occurs and stops it from being finished. She has the perfect looks and everything besides a perfect brain with a mental age of a five year old. She firmly believes the world is perfect and everyoen is nice to each and every other.
Ha Min Jae / 하민재 / 夏敏宰: He has been perfect all his life, he always got what he wanted and always thinks low of others and doesn't care about anyone else but himself. As he meets Hae Song Eum, he thinks of her as a pure person who thinks nicely of everyone, different from the world he has been growing up at. Time continues and he starts to develop feelings for her even though she is mentally disabled.
Yoo Myung Joon / 유명준 / 柳明俊: One of the best made cyborgs out of the perfection series, who is suppose to be the same type series cyborgs with Hae Song Eum. As Song Eum fails to be completed as a perfect one and excluded from the series he becomes one of the few rare ones. Although he looks extremely cold hearted with his good looks, he is actually a modest and nice cyborg operated and as the movie develops on, he was willing to donate his life - the computer chip to Song Eum in order for her to be completed.
Sim Wang Jeon / 심황전 / 沈王顓:
A cyborg that was built to ensure that all are under control and destroys all badly made robots. However as he starts to feel the human emotions, he decides to help Hae Song Eum - a badly made robot to survive and find her true love with a human. Even though it is against the rules completely, he still decided to go beyond and help the pair.

Controversies
- On 11TH October 2011 it was announced that the film name will be changed as it was too similar to the American movie Crazy Stupid Love which was released 29TH September 2011. On 12ST January 2012, it was formally announced the title of the film will be changed to Heart Thief.
- On the day of the release 14TH February, the movie was slapped with a MR 15+ age rating due to themes of a publicly hinting relationship between two males.
