He Ri Jun (born November 12, 1993) is a Chinese-Mongolian actor. He was scouted at the Clumsy Global Auditions 12'-13' on November 26, 2012 and two months later was cast in his debut role in the drama film Coming Home.

Early life

He Ri Jun was born on November 12, 1993 to a Chinese father of Kalmyks ethnic and a Chinese-Mongolian mother in Ölgii, Bayan-Ölgii Province, Mongolia. The family migrated back to Beijing, China once he reached seven years of age and three years later settled in Hong Kong.

In his final year of high school He travelled to Beijing during April in order to participate in the entry auditions to the Beijing Film Academy. He later confessed it was done without his parents' knowledge as they were not supportive of his acting pursuits.

Career

2012-current: Debut and early works

He was scouted at the Clumsy Global Auditions 12'-13' on November 26, 2012 in Hong Kong at the New World Media Center after pleasing the judges with his precise acting and was offered an exclusive contract on the spot. Two months later was cast in his first role in the drama film Coming Home by Zhang Yimou. In early 2013 He auditioned for the Chinese epic The Crossing by John Woo and was successfully admitted into what would become his official debut role. Filming began on July 6, 2013 in Beijing and concluded later that year. Shooting locations included Inner Mongolia, Shanghai, Taiwan and Tianjin. Despite heavy anticipation the film received moderate commerical success and average critical reviews.

On July 5, 2014 it was announced that he had been cast in producer Yu Zheng's historical drama Beauty Manufacturer.
