"A Series: Birth of a Kid" is the second studio album by Korean-Australian hip hop artist Mr. Kid, released December 10, 2013 by Clumsy Media, a full year after his first album "The First Mr. Kid". The is the second Korean language album after Kid's debut extended play album "The Kid Story: The First Mini Album" (2010). It was recorded over a period of two years, beginning in 2010 when Kid first moved to Korea in order to become involved in the music project group Coffee Musicians. The production of the album was often halted by Kid's career as a producer.
The album had production entirely handled by Kid, and features musical contributions from Zion.T, Outsider, MC Mong and Lee "MiiKii" Yeon Joo. Kid's lyrics on the album concern themes of love, self-consciousness, working in the entertainment industry, materialism, and personal struggles. Similar to Kid's previous releases, the album received rave critical acclaim.
