Risumi Rika otherwise more known by the public of the stage name JayMi is a all time popular Japanese singer. She entered the music scene with her debut studio album いくら: Willing & Taking in 2009, it became a surprising firing success. The album was able to peak all charts at the top, especially the Oricorn Pop Weekly Album Chart and stayed on the Top Five for fourteen consecutive weeks. Her follow up promotion Parallel ♥ Lines, very much like the debut album it was a success peaking charts within just ten hours of release. She was the best selling solo artist that year and swipped across the awards with the new artist special.

The following year, her collaboration single with the highest music record award holder, T.Max, titled Miss Q Maxxi was met with great response and peaked the charts once again. It became the best selling and highest winning single that year, making it another noting achievement.

In 2011 after establishing a firm fan base, she advanced to the Korean market with the debut song 에픽하이 HUMAN SOUL: Digital Single which received positive response and peaked at #7 at all music portal charts, making her the first Japanese artist to ever advance into the top ten charts. Soon, the first ever solo independantlive concert, * JAYFUL which happened around various major cities in Japan took place. All four avenues' tickets were sold out within ten minutes of the sell and once again proved the popularity of JayMi. She made her acting debut in 2013 in the one hundred and fifty-six episodes drama Amachan.

So far to date, JayMi has reached #1 for all six albums published consecutively, and nine #1 singles.
