Appearance:

Aaron has buzz-cut black hair and blue eyes. He has some freckles on his arms and chest, but these are fairly unnoticeable, as they are a fairly similar shade to the rest of his skin. His facial features are unremarkable, other than that his nose seems to have been broken at some point and is slightly crooked. Has what looks like scars on his wrists. He usually wears a necklace with a crucifix on it, a leather jacket and blue jeans. He wears short-sleeved Tshirts under the jacket. Colours vary.

History:

Aaron was conceived as an accident with faulty contraceptives. His mother, a Catholic, refused to abort due to her beleifs. He was born May 27 2012 in inner-city Los Angeles. Shortly after he was born, it was discovered that he had a genetic condition, most likely caused by drugs consumed by his mother while pregnannt. This condition meant that he required drugs to prevent production of a harmful chemical. He also occasionally felt dull pains in his forearms. He grew up in this area and, not surprisingly, drifted into crime at a young age. Not because he enjoyed it, but beause it was one of the few ways he was able to make some money and not get it stolen off him almost immediately afterwards. Although the small amount of money his mother earned was just enough to support them, it was not enough to buy the drugs as well. He joined a gang at age 12, doing bottom-level jobs. Over the next four years, he remained in the gang, becoming higher-positioned (Note- by higher positioned, I don't mean he became a gang leader or anything. He was still a grunt, just a bit more important grunt.). He knew, however, that it was wrong. The need for money for his drugs and a lack of qualifications due to a struggling education system meant that he had to stay in. On October 14, 2028 he found out about a planned armed robbery on a bank and offered information about it to the police in return for protection and money. They accepted and the robbery was stopped, with several high ranking gang members arrested, a safe house compromised and several firearms taken. The police gave him money, but not adequate protection. A bribed official gave the gang his new location and they sent some thugs after him to take revenge. They broke into his new house and beat him up. They would have killed him, but by pure accident he discovered another mutation- he could shoot fire. Glands in his arms produced a napalm-like substance that ignited on contact with the air and muscles forced it out of openings on the underside of his wrists. He discovered his ability when one of the thugs swung a bat at his head. He tried to block it with his arm. The blow damaged his arm but also ruptured a membrane that had prevented use of the glands until they had fully developed. the thug who'd hit him was incinerated, as were the others. The house caught fire too. He was able to drag himself out. The police offered him another identity again. He was reported dead in a fire. As the gang didn't send any more people after him, they must have accepted this. Over the next two years, he attempted to understand this ability, and eventually learned to control it.

Abilities:

• Can shoot jets of napalm-like substance from under his wrists.
• Ability to withstand higher levels of heat than average, also resistant to fire/burning.
• Has some fighting skills- mainly with knives or unarmed, but some experience with firearms
• Knows some Spanish

Weaknesses:

• Has to take monthly shots. After 48 hours without shots, he will start going into convulsions. If this happens and he isn't given large doses of the drug, he will eventually die.

Other notes:

• Distrusts police or other law enforcement agents
• Is fairly social and works well in groups.
• Enjoys oily and salty foods. Favourite food: curry.
