Hyksos Fantasy RP

Ethasus, a town on Hyksos' east coast, when it is attacked. It's not the usual raid the settlements in the area sometimes experience from pirates or Albatrini tribesmen. This is well organised, with different forces hitting the town from all sides. And some of the attackers are undead. The town is sacked, and several parties are sent out to find those responsible and bring them to justice. They discover that the attack on the town is only a part of a much greater plot, one that could threaten the entire world. Players will be a part of one of these parties. As well as humans, all standard fantasy races are available and playable.

Personality:
Cynical and mistrustful, Eadwulf doesn't enjoy the company of others. In fact, he actively seeks out solitude, only visiting town when he has to. He tends to think the worst of people. Eadwulf speaks little, but when he does, he's gruff almost to the point of rudeness. Almost never smiles.
Background/history:
Eadwulf grew up in Ethasus. Back in his childhood, he was happy, friendly and cheerful. He joined the Army at 15. After finishing his training, he was posted to the Second Legion, attatched to a scout company. After a few years of peace, he was sent north. Yet another barbarian tribe had rebelled, and it was threatening to pull several others into the revolt, creating a serious threat to national security. Eadwulf experienced years of brutal mountain warfare, where his skills were honed. When the last remnants of the rebellion were put down seven years later, Eadwulf's company had lost over three quarters of its original men. He spent a further nine years in the Army, seeing more pain and death than most see in their lifetime. He was one of the few survivors of the Pyhrric invasion of the Siniskra desert. As soon as his twenty year contract was up, he returned home. He tried to settle down, but he couldn't. His experiences had changed him. He sold most of his gear and went out into the wilderness, where he hunted game. Every now and then, he'd return to Ethasus to trade pelts and meat for various items he couldn't make himself. That's how he's been living for the past twelve years.
Abilities: An expert tracker and hunter. Excellent archer and trapper. Skilled fighter with knife, sword, axe and spear. Knows many survival tricks and techniques.
Equipment: Old Hyksos Army issue bow, arrow bag, handaxe, seax, pouch containing food, sharpening stone and spare arrowheads. Hyksos Army cloak.

Apperance: 2'8" with black/blue hair, bleach white skin, and soft purple eyes. On his back are black markings that looks like wings indicating he is part of clan Graeme.
Occupation: Theif
Personality:
Distrustful of others but once somebody has proven themselves he is very loyal. He has no probably lying to long-time friends and has no moral qualms over killing somebody to get what he wants.
Background:
Born in the Silberneslund Provice, his tribe passed along the outskirts of Otandun when he was 12. He saw the silver that came from the mountains into the town and belived that living in Hyksos society would be better than the life he had now of tracking his next meal and stealing from travelers.
Abilities: Exceptional climber, can pick locks with ease, for limited periods of time he can 'fly' using air magic, can make silent illusions, can disappear when in shadow, and change his shape to anything living and near his height/weight. Equipment: In his pack he has; smoke-stones, three daggers, two vials of acid that can eat through anything, one set of lockpicks.

Race: Human with tiniest bit of catperson blood from somewhere down the line.
Description:
Garrick at first glance appears human but on closer exception there is a sharpness to his facial features that seems cat like. His nose is a bit small and his ears are pointed. His pupils are instead of circular an oval. He wears the armies armor which appears to have little wear. He carries a spear when needed and a backup sword at his side. On his back he carries a light buckler and pack. Below his armor he wears a thick leather tunic. And underneath that a thin tunic tied by a piece of cord and pants.

Garrick doesn't dislike the army he just doesn't want to be in it and curses his luck in getting drafted. He wants to get on with his life and often says the phrase, "What the am I doing here?.."
Background/history:
Garrick was born and raised in Otandun. He never wanted to fight and he wasn't supposed to. He was going to be a blacksmith like his father and his father's father before him and also had a sweetheart who he was planning on marrying. But the army had other plans for him. He was recruited into the army 3 years ago and has been trained to fight for the country. His sweetheart decided to marry someone else one year ago because she couldn't wait any longer for him. Needless to say he was heart broken and is not as fond of her anymore, neither is much of his family. Garrick was hoping that soon he could leave the army and continue training to be come a Smith. His family's smith business is very popular in Otandun due to the mining equipment that often needs to be replaced. He is currently stationed in Ethasus under the armies orders.
Abilities: He has been trained in the army to use various weapons. He is the best at spear and okay at swordplay but if he must he is able to improvise with a bow or axe. He isn't that great at fighting I'd say average and I want it that way. because of the cat blood in him he has a very tiny increase in his senses and reflexes. Also has some knowledge of woking metal since he was a smith's apprentice.

Calm and collected. does not get angry, but will not simply stand aside and let people do whatever they want.
Background/history:
There isn't really much to say. she was born and raised in Ethasus, both sides of her family were cooks and both of her parents are still alive (at least, as the RP starts). She took up archery at around her 50'th birthday as something to pass the time and is not very good at it.
Abilities: excellent cooking, amateur archery (She needs to have something to pass free time and wood elves tend to be associated with the bow and arrow)
Equipment: Bags of assorted spices, Kitchen knives, Practice bow, Set of 20 practice arrows.

A skinny frail-looking man with only the barest hint of muscles. He has blood red hair that is kept short with a pony tail in the back, tanned bronze skin, and emerald green eyes. He wears tan sleeveless tunic with a brown belt around his waist. He has white leggings and brown boat. On his forearms are what look like sleeves except they start at his elbow in stead of being connected to his tunic. They are the same color as his tunic and wide and flair.

Personality: Well, I'm shooting for a comedic character that is funny by his dialogue. Other than a bit of cynicalness, that's about all I have.
Background/history:
A baby was born with the symbol of the gods' symbols branded about his body and was thus called 'Godsbrand.' The child was expected to grow up strong and intelligent and a leader of the people. However, he only grew up intelligent and was otherwise weak and uncharismatic. However, feeling the weight of the expectation on his shoulders, he was drawn to the raw power of Elemental Magic where he thought he could harness the power of the gods. With this power, he set out to show the world what he could do. For a price.

Description:
Vifil has dark-brown/grey robes that hide dirt well due to their colour. His right hand is in a black glove to hide burns from a fire. He wears a ruby around his neck on white string. He has brown hair in a ponytail.
Occupation: Necromancer
Personality:
He is actually pretty friendly and kind to people. However, if the topic changes to something he does not want to talk about, he will not talk until everyone stops asking. He can treat people like they are stupid and often does, because he has low expectations of others. When he has spare time, he spends it perusing libraries when possible. He is generally both patient and hard-working. Though friendly and patient, if anyone tries to go against him or is otherwise likely to hinder his advancement in necromantic skills he will try to escape or finish as fast as he can.
Background/history:
Vifil, as a child, wanted to be either a soldier or a paladin. He kept procrastinating and eventually became a librarian's assistant. It was while he worked there that he met a girl that he thought was perfect. He got along well with her and so did the rest of his family. Eventually, his parents moved away and the girl, Luta, moved in because her house and several near it were robbed and she was worried. When he was twenty, he decided to change his job and work with the undertaker so he went to meet the current one. His sister, Yri, even let him take her good luck charm. It went well and he was hired and told that he should start work as soon as he could. On his way home, he was so happy that he didn't notice the big crowd in front of his house. Yri and Luta were trpped at the top of the house while the bottom floor was on fire. Vifil rushed in to try to save them but he passed out and had to be rescued by someone else with only scarring to his right hand and forearm. Yri and Luta, however, died of smoke inhalation. He was told there was nothing to do but pray to Chachot to give them a peaceful passage into the afterlife. So, of course, he decided that he would learn necromancy to bring them back somehow. He has spent the last seven years studying everthing regarding raising the dead.
Abilities: Necromancy, can read most languages, possibly one or two cold spells.
Equipment: His robes, the ruby, one black glove, a bag containing: a large book and some money.

Description:
Without her armour, Aujana is a cute, curvy catgirl of about 5'4". She has long, red-pink hair, going down to 3 inches below her shoulder, tied back in a pony tail when in combat. Her ears are cat ears, with a creamy brown colour. When not in her armour, she wears a white cotton t-shirt, and red shorts, going down to her knees. When in armour, which she summons via divine magic, she wears a chainmail shirt, covered by a large white breastplate with gold trim, covering her upper chest. The legs are also chainmail, going down to the platemail boots, also white with gold trim. On her hands are large gauntlets, ALSO white with gold trim. See a pattern? She normally wields a rapier, but is proficient with many types of weapons.

Personality:
Aujana is a stereotypical catgirl; bubbly, happy, and kind. She is accident prone, and considers getting onto a horse without breaking anything a accomplishment. She does not even think of doing anything wrong, due to a strong moral compass. The only time she is not clumsy is in combat. Aujana is a expert fencer, and a decent markscatgirl.
Background/history:
She was named after the goddess she was destined to be a paladin for, from a early age, Aujana was trained to be a paladin of love, healing, and all that other magical girl stuff.
Abilities: Paladin Magic, expert swordplay, passable marksmanship.
Equipment: Aforementioned armour, magic rapier (enchanted with runes to add durability and sharpness), a backpack with assorted odds and ends (herbs and the like).

Name: Sora Oakenvale.
Age: Looks to be in her early twenties, but in fact she's more like 70 or 80. She's also not likely to tell her real age.
Gender: Female.
Race: Elf.
Description:
Impossibly beautiful (she's an elf, after all). she has hyooge pointy ears that protrude about an inch and a half. She has short, golden hair and bright blue eyes. Very aryan, actually. She is tall, slightly higher than average for human women. She wears long, flowing robes reminiscent of a kimono with ornate, vaguely oriental patterns sown in. the robes themselves are mostly black, with the patters and designs being white and green. She has an aura of trustworthiness and likability about her that results in most people... trusting and liking her, I suppose.
Occupation: Priestess of Scarmigleone, a deity worshipped solely by elves.
Personality:
Despite worshiping a major death god, she is a very perky and happy person, and also an optimist... Of course, there's more to him than blood and death, but we'll get to that later. Suffice to say there's a bit of a personality clash there. She is smily and congenial and in general a happy person. There's more than meets the eye to her, of course, but on the surface all you'd be able to see is a perky little cleric of a god of Doom. However, beneath this facade of naiveté is a much more cunning and intelligent person than most people give her credit for. She is, after all, faaar older than she looks. Of course, all that stuff about happy, perky, and optimistic isn't entirely an act. she is a genuinely kind and nice person... just a bit on the ambitious side.
Background/history:
Alfheim is located in Helvinthona province, right smack-dab in the middle. It is the former capital city of a once great Elf empire that has long since collapsed and fallen into ruin. Now, Elves are mostly scattered across the kingdom, being unobtrusively peacefull, and mostly minding their own business so long as the humans et al mind theirs. There is, for the most part, no conflict between the Elves and the Dwarfs. Because that would be clichéd. This is the sociopolitical environment Sora grew up in. She lived in Alfheim, which is located in the southern part of Helvinthona, deep in forests that are there because the GM didn't say there weren't any therefore I get creative license so HA! Erhem... yes. Her father and mother were both Scarmigleonists... Worshippers of the Elven Earth God, and her father was a minor cleric who also got her feet into the church. She managed to use her considerable intellect to work her way up the church's ranks to a modestly high position, around that of a local bishop... or something. I don't know christianity. Sue me. she is, at the moment, on a pilgrimage across the various centres of Scarmigleone worship around the world.
Abilities:
Despite being a cleric of a death god, she doesn't do zombies... Mostly because her God isn't the type to bring people back to life. Scarmiglione, while being a god of death, is really more focused on the 'Earth' aspect of his domain. That said, he prefers live sacrifice to power his divine magic. Of course, anything living will work. He prefers fresh herbs, though store bought will do in a pinch. He's really a very benign god, actually. The typical ritual involves taking some freshly picked plants, bundling them up, and burning them. The bigger the spell, the more plants needed. There is no known spell that requires trees to burn, although worshippers do engage in periodic acts of arson to cleanse the forests of the dangerous layers of dead leaves, needles, and grass that have dried out and could result in explosions, and that also allow for new growth to arise. Typically, Scarmigleone's magic is used to heal and to bring life, and also to put to rest the restless souls of the dead. This means that Necromancers tend to be in conflict with the Elves who worship him, and the elves in return tend to be equally 'fond' of those who toy with forces they don't understand. However, despite His peaceful nature, the average non-elf is wary of Scarmigleone, as... well, for the same reasons people view Kali and Siva as violent because they wear chains of human heads as jewelry and their whole role in the religion is to destroy the world by dancing. A religion focused on plants and dead people doesn't sound to be very benign, especially when you factor in that one of the subdomains of Scarmigleone is poison. an outsider wouldn't know that this is more geared towards cleaning of pollution and purifying of the earth from the follies of mankind than killing people with deadly toxins. Sora is also proficient in Earth elemental magic. Again, this is mostly focused on plant life.
Equipment: Her clothing, a pack of food and other supplies for a long journey, quite a bit of money, and a long wooden staff used in Holy Rituals.

Name: Alphonse Torell.

Race: Goblin
Description:
Vaguely like the FFT version, though his snout is more vulpine than that ugly piglike thingie (i.e, more pointy). Same huge ears, pretty much the same outfit. He's really, really short, only about half of the average for humans (whatever that may be). His hat is blue, not red, and he has a scabbard on his back for the cutlass, but other than that that's what he looks like right there.
Occupation: Sword for hire.
Personality:
The exact opposite of Sora. He's gruff and quiet, and foul tempered. he's also a major pessimist, and a real downer at parties, let me tell you. Underneath it all, though, he's a decent guy. He's honourable, and has a decent work ethic. All in all he's a nice, down to earth fellow who likes to settle back by the fire with a nice brew.
Background/history:
He grew up in a fairly normal Goblin household. Meaning he was trained in being able to defend himself against the bigger creatures out there that like to kill Goblins. He eventually left his home to go exploring, and became a sword for hire. He's currently working as a bodyguard for Sora.
Abilities:
He is small and fast, and can use that to his advantage. He hits hard and quick. He's also stronger than he looks. Watching him fight is vaguely reminiscent of watching Yoda fight in the prequels. His skin is tougher than that of an average human, and he's also fireproof and coldproof. He's not unkillable, but he's very hard to do away with.
Equipment: His sword, which is old but sturdy; it's not gonna break anytime soon. He also has a pack that contains some various first aid and food items. And he has clothing. Basic leather stuff; not too much protection, but his natural armour makes that not matter much.

Description:
A tall elf, unkempt, with leaves in his hair as decoration. Wearing an tunic and leggings made of soft leather covered in bits of cloth (Like the army use) that make him hard to see among the trees. He is wearing soft furry boats that make little to no sound. He has 1 short sword and a quiver of bolts on his belt, and a cross bow straped to his back.

He is quite freindly to people who are nice to him, but unforgiving and he has a long memory, and holds grudges for a long time. On his own he is quite goofy, singing and dancing, but if asked about this he will try and cover it up.
Backstory:
Alrek was a wanderer, and at 20 he left his family and went off looking for a more intresting life, He was gave himself the job to stop poaching or over hunting in the forests. His motive for being in town when it was attacked was he needed a drink, supplies and more ammo.
Abilities: Beast Speak, Shadow walking (stealth), Dead Eye, Herb and Wood lore,, Can brew a few antidotes and potions, but nothing speacil, Speaks Elf, Commen, and Knows a few words of goblinese
Equipment: A run of the mill Short sword, a quiver of bold flighted with owl feathers, a crossbow with a quicker winding thing and a leaf pattern on it

Description: 5'6, gray eyes, black hair, craggy features, barrel chested and almost 4' across at the shoulders
Occupation: Militia sergeant and stone worker/lumberjack/blacksmith/hunter (Has sufficient money to be able to do these for pleasure, not as a trade.)
Personality: Gruff harsh exterior hiding a heart of gold.
Background/history:
Born in the eastern portion of the Northern Province to a dwarven mother and a human father he was raised among the barbarian tribes and lived with them for many years until he had out lived his father and his childhood friends. He then went to live with his dwarven kin learning his heritage, how to work metal and stone, and how to survive beneath the surface world. After some year with the dwarves his human wanderlust took him and he began a journey to see more of the world. Finally settled down in Ethasus where his skills were a boon to so small a town, joined the Militia and was promoted from militiaman to sergeant in one day as his experience became apparent despite his lack of a official military record (both the barbarian tribes and the dwarven clans tend to have a military emphasis as part of their culture). He has been living there for four years.
Abilities: Good axe wielder, good axe thrower, ok at hunting, metalworking, masonry, and logging. Knowledgeable about survival both in mountains and in the Underdark (or equivalent)
Equipment: Haubergeon, Leather gambeson, Breast plate, arm guards, gauntlets, leg guards, boots, and helmet. Runic Battleaxe, dagger with sheath, wood axe, mining pick, smiths hammer and tongs, 2 brace of throwing axes. Brown and Gray clothing, gray hooded cloak. Oiled leather satchel, flint and steel, tinder, torch, flask of oil, rope, Water bag, dried provisions.
Notes: Speaks Common, Dwarven and Goblin. Low-light vision. Slight resistance to poisons and spells but not much.

Description:
A girl, who looks human, but has pionted ears and a more angular cheekbone. Her hair is fairly long ,brown, with streaks of blond. She is wearing a leather tunic and breachs, which is covered in a tabard of purple and green. She also has a pair of bells round her feet, and good strong boot, perfect for jumping, tumbling ect.
Occupation: A travelling bard and jester.
Personality:
She is quite carefree, and loves her job entertaining people. Due to her travelling nature, she only knows people for a short while, so can seat down and have a good talk with a complete stranger.
Background/history:
The daughter of a minor noble, she was going to be married off to an older man. She refused, and was beaten for it. She ran away, and travelled with a group of travellers, who taught here to sing, to dance, to play the lute, juggle, everything she need to perform. She arrived in the port town because she need big money, and now performs in the street out side the Woodland teahouse (Ive been reading the RP)
Abilities: Can sing and play the lute, throw knives well enought to ht a target 5 meters away dead on, Acrobatic and climbing, pickpocketing (she was with travellers) and knife skill
