RPG Maker 2003 is a very popular RPG Maker. Most of it is the same as RPG Maker 2000, but with a lot of new features.

New Features
A new battle system
Horizontal, Final fantasy 4-6 style battle with animated Battle Character Sets. Included in this battle layout also is a battle menu, which can be customized by importing a System 2 image.
Mp3 Support
Mp3's were much in demand with RPG Maker 2000, because MIDIs and WAVs weren't as available as Mp3's at the time, and still aren't, although MIDIs have certainly become more popular.
