Harry Potter
From Canonwars
Harry Potter (born 31 July 1980) is the main character from the series by the same name. He is the same slightly petulant youth he is in the books—extremely determined, focused on what needs to have done, and willing to alienate people at the drop of a hat. He does not enjoy being on the island, but he does not complain, as he’s willing to bear any weight that is thrown on his shoulders.
He is seventeen, almost eighteen-years-old, and the same as he can ever be. After all, Harry Potter will always just be Harry.

Background
The life of Harry James Potter didn't begin with Harry James Potter, but rather Lily Potter and James Potter, two teenagers that eventually fell for one another during their final year at Hogwarts. Truthfully, James had fallen for her long before that point in time, but he eventually managed to win her over during his year of being Head Boy. He knew it had nothing to do with his quidditch playing skills or anything like that, but that he actually had a sense of responsibility and he could get along without making a five people float in the air with their knickers showing. He grew up—and Lily realized it, gave him a chance, and decided to fall in with him. She fell in love with him before the end of the year arrived, and by that point in time, it seemed there was no turning back.
This war ended up leading them against Lord Voldemort—and three times, they managed to get away from him. Once Dumbledore learned about the prophecy, he encouraged them to go into hiding, and informed them of Godric's Hollow, a well-hidden place where Lily and James, recently married, could live in hiding. They only left occasionally—in order to give birth to Harry and in order to christen the young man—before they decided to stick around there. The only person that had the secret of where it was happened to be Peter Pettigrew, and as many can suspect, this grew to be a fateful decision on James, Lily, and Sirius' parts, as he was the reason why James and Lily ended up perishing and Harry ended up becoming "The Boy Who Lived." Indeed, on Halloween in 1981, Voldemort arrived at the house, murdered James and Lily, and would have done the same to Harry, had the killing curse not reflected back at Voldemort and "killed" him.
That very night, Harry was delivered to the Dursleys' home for protection by Albus Dumbledore, and directed the Dursleys to make his experience the most enjoyable as possible. He had to think of the Dursleys' home as his home, instead of it being something else. Ten years later, when the owls started pouring in about his acceptance to Hogwarts, Harry did not think of it as a home. He was underfed, given poor clothing, and treated like he was a servant. Basically, Harry was like a house elf to the Dursleys, only he didn't thrive on the fact that he was able to do things for them. He knew he was a "weird" individual, too—his hair always remained longer and black, messy, and it could never be cut. He could talk to snakes. Things broke around him. His existence was an interesting one, and when the Dursleys had finally gotten away from the message filled home announcing Harry's welcome to Hogwarts, it was on the boat that Harry finally learned about his background—thanks to Rubeus Hagrid, who came to take him to Diagon Alley to begin to introduce him to the wizarding world (which he likely should have known about before that).
This was the catalyst for many fateful years for Harry. It started off with meeting Draco Malfoy during his Diagon Alley meeting—meeting him again on the train, but then meeting Ron Weasley. He chose, at that moment, to stick by Ron Weasley (and eventually, the girl who was sitting there, Hermione Granger), and as thus, chose the life of a Gryffindor, or so it seemed. He decided to be good, and it was goodness that brought him into his heroic disposition that already seemed to inevitably be there.
After being sorted into Gryffindor (and almost being placed into Slytherin, where the hat said he would still do well), Harry's life accelerated quite a bit into his future. During his first year at the school, many things happened to be afoot, but while there seemed to be a lurking evil, he also found himself on the quidditch team. It seemed the terrific Harry Potter had more things up his sleeve instead of just saving the world. While he did particularly well on the Gryffindor quidditch team as a seeker, he also ended up working with Ron and Hermione (who eventually became their friend after a bad situation) in order to figure out what was happening at the school. In the end, it turned out that Lord Voldemort had ended up possessing—if that's the best word for it—a part of the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, Professor Quirrell, and Harry almost ended up dead when faced against this task. But, that didn't happen, and Harry ended up being deemed a hero for defending the sorcerer's stone.
His second and third years proved to be just as problematic. In his second year, a beast was moving through the school and petrifying people, and, of course, Hagrid was blamed for it. In the end, it turned out that Tom Riddle Jr. possessed Ginny Weasley through a diary given to her by Lucius Malfoy, and just as she was about to die, Harry came in to save the day—with the help of the Gryffindor sword provided to him by Fawkes. He nearly ended up dying in this situation, but he didn't, and he lived to meet Remus Lupin in his third year, just as Sirius Black escaped from Azkaban. It was another problematic year, but in the end, he ended up learning who Sirius Black really was to him—a respectable man, to a degree, who thought of him as a son and happened to be his godfather. Harry gained his first real family through this experience, but at the same time, his mercy helped Peter Pettigrew to get away. Harry vowed to capture him—as well as a number of other things, eventually. Lupin, the DADA professor, was forced away from the school due to his lycanthropy, and Sirius was forced into hiding.
His fourth and fifth years blurred together—two deaths at the end of two years right in a row. His fourth year led to him "meeting" Alastor Moody, who was really Barty Crouch Jr. taking a polyjuice potion and teaching the students Defense Against the Dark Arts lessons. Amazingly, the lessons coming from the Death Eater were quite good, but at the same time, they were unusual. At the end of the year, it turned out that Barty/Moody was just trying to get Harry into the final match of the Tri-wizard Tournament, where Harry and Cedric both ended up touching the final cup, which transported them to a graveyard where Voldemort happened to be. It was there that Cedric was killed, but also there that Voldemort was brought back. Harry "fought" Voldemort, and ended up getting away. At the end of the year, Voldemort's return was announced by Dumbledore. This blurred into his fifth year, where, feeling pretty bad about things, Harry wasn't in the best shape. Still, he learned about the Order of the Phoenix, as well as a few other things. He ended up forming Dumbledore's Army, putting up with Umbridge, and having his first girlfriend—all in a year. It was a pretty interesting and important year for Harry, but it was at the end of the year where he learned the most important detail: that a prophecy had marked him as the one that must defeat Voldemort. He wasn't too pleased with this, but he knew he had to go "home" to the Dursleys afterward and deal with another irritating summer. But the most important part of this was that he ended up losing his godfather, Sirius Black (Elder). For Harry, this was a crushing blow, but strong as ever, he managed to plunge into his irritating summer.
This irritating summer, where a new Minister of Magic, Rufus Scrimgeour, came into power, was also one where Emmeline Vance and Amelia Bones ended up dead. It was more imminent than ever that evil was running about, and things had to be done. Harry ended up meeting Horace Slughorn, but on top of that, he returned to school to have private lessons with Dumbledore—lessons that led to him learning the full extent of what he had to do, as well as gain a complete understanding of the inner-workings of Lord Voldemort's mind. He also gained the position of quidditch Captain, but on top of that, he ended up having a big crush on Ginny Weasley, a crush that eventually turned into her being his girlfriend (as the feelings were reciprocated).
At the end of the year, which led into this year, Dumbledore happened to be killed after a mission to retrieve a horcrux. This was done by Severus Snape, and after a failed attempt to go after Snape, Harry ended up finding himself in a rather vengeful state. He knew he had to do several things now: get Snape (even if that's admittedly not at the top of his list), find the horcruxes, and likely end up doing what he had to do before he worried about himself. As a result, he broke up with Ginny, informed Ron and Hermione of his plans, and finished school for the year to return to the Dursleys' home for a final time.
In Purgatory
Harry arrived at the island with waking up in a hotel bed. He had a number of frightening dreams because of the interpretations of his canon in the “real world.” The sex with Draco and Severus; the hatred of Ginny; the feeling of doing a number of things that Harry would have never allowed himself to do. He never thought of himself as a sex symbol, but the “real world” made him out to be just yet.
Within his first months on the island, he was first reunited with Ginny and Sirius (who he ended up living with), but he quickly also met his parents—actually met his parents—for the first time in his entire life. He was astounded by the way that his father behaved. After all, James was enthusiastic, loud, and willing to do as much as possible. His mother was not surprising in the least; this was something that, unsurprisingly, pleased Harry quite a bit. Their presence made it possible for Harry to live with his parents for the first time in his life, even if they weren’t much older than him.
He ended up having quite a few snark sessions with both Draco Malfoy (who has recently disappeared) and Lord Voldemort. But he did nothing in way of action, as Dumbledore showed up and informed him that it was not prudent to go rushing at Voldemort, even if he was an evil monster. Harry was forced to sit around and do very little for a time. He only did something when his apartment with his parents above the Chinese restaurant was destroyed by Iori Yagami and Kyo Kusanagi during one of their fights. Though James showed the most indignation, Harry was more concerned about Ginny, as she lived right next door.
Inevitably, James acquired a new place for everyone who matters to Harry and him. Harry lives in the house occasionally when he wants dinner, but he lives in a small cabin not far away from it with his best mate.
His best mate hadn’t showed up yet, however, when Voldemort lost his head and ended up going around and killing a number of people. The Death Eaters were out on a rampage as well. It was at this time that Harry and Voldemort had their final battle. Harry ended up in a coma as a result; Voldemort ended up dead. Harry’s since come out of the coma and he now realizes he has a great deal of power.
But even with this power, his parents expect him to have a bit of responsibility, so currently, Harry is looking for a job. He also intends to get involved with the mutants on the island, as they seem to be more promising in terms of him controlling the fast amount of power in his body (power that could hurt him). He’s also been hit on by a number of people, namely I-no and Larxene.
Because of everything he’s been through, Harry doesn’t refer to himself as a child anymore. But he still acts like one and is not willing to face that he has a bit of growing to do.
