The BBW World Heavyweight Championship is a backyard wrestling world championship in Global Backyard Wrestling Nation (GBYWN). Initially, it was first apart of federation alliance Battle Born Wrestling (BBW) as it was expanding globally from territory to territory that in turn, rendered the title into an actual world title. In November 2009, BBW merged into Global Backyard Wrestling News to form separate alliance GBYWNation.

History
Origination
The BBW World Heavyweight Championship was introduced on the first episode of BBW, BBW 1: Battle Born in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 5, 2008. It had shortly preceded a title tournament concluding on BBW 2: Inaugural Champion on December 28 which was won by BBW primary area wrestler Assassin when he defeated Iron Bastard to become the first ever champion of the alliance.
Adan Reyes from a BBW territorial organization from Salt Lake City, Utah New Generation Wrestling had won the title from Assassin being the first time an outside BBW prime territory member won it. Overall, the title was defended and contested in Nevada and Utah and was forfeited once by FX to JP in Pennsylvania during a Suicidal Wrestling Clash event.
