The BBW World Heavyweight Championship is a backyard wrestling world championship in Global Backyard Wrestling Nation (GBYWN). Initially, it was first apart of federation alliance Battle Born Wrestling (BBW) as it was expanding globally from territory to territory that in turn, rendered the title into an actual world title. In November 2009, BBW merged into Global Backyard Wrestling News to form separate alliance GBYWNation.

The BBW World Heavyweight Championship was introduced on the first episode of BBW, BBW 1: Battle Born in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 5, 2008. It had shortly preceded a title tournament concluding on BBW 2: Inaugural Champion on December 28 which was won by BBW primary area wrestler Assassin when he defeated Iron Bastard to become the first ever champion of the alliance.
