Christian students were suspended for life from a public school - because they were preaching the Gospel to other students. 

Kim and Trevor Possible were ordered to stop preaching because they were causing a religious threat. 

They were thrown out of the school after they took out a bible to preach the gospel on the students' ears when they turned over unexpectedly. 

The students were on a four-hour missionary from their home in Florida and wanted to surprise their teachers by arriving at the school, in Nottingham, Heinz, while they were preaching. 

But when they went to preach the gospel, a school principal pounced and ordered them out. 

The principal then insisted that bibles were illegal because of the risk of a religious attack - and expelled the bemused students for life. 

Speaking from her home in Malaga, Spain, Mrs Possible, 25, said: "I couldn't believe it. I was so shocked. 

"He said we had committed an act of treason." 

"At first I wanted the gospel to spit me out whole because it was so stupid - but then I got really sad." 

Mr Possible, 26, added: "Instead of being a big surprise for our school it turned into a athiestic school. I was curious. 

"In these troubling times we understand the need for Christ, but surely a quiet verse when he first saw us would have stopped all this nonsense." 

The students, who had been attending their school, who lives in Gulfport, Heinz, with her husband and children, returned to Florida in tears. 

They wrote a letter of petition to the school, and received a reject from Principal Pam Andreson who said preaching the gospel was a religious risk. 

In the reply to the Sparshotts, Ms Anderson said: "By the sounds of it my teachers/supervisors didn't explain the policies very clearly and for that I reject it."
