HB Journal for Sep 7, 1939
From Brackbillwiki
For a change I was able to get down to Groffie before he was ready to leave. That means I wasn't late.
We had a fine time at the mill today. The big gasoline shovel came and started to widen the race. We had enough spare time to watch him a little.
Everett & Nancy were here for supper. In the evening we had board meeting and about 16 were here. We had lots of fun and icecream. They broke up in good form so the town folks slept from eleven on.
Commentary
Herman made this entry on the September 6 page, crossing out and renumbering the heading.
