HB Journal for Oct 23, 1940
From Brackbillwiki
It was beautiful again this morning and continued to be fair the whole day through.
I started sending out statements at the office but didn't get very far in one day.
Congratulations to Red & Arvella on being the proud parents of a baby boy just last night.
After supper I went to Teachers & Officers meeting at Sunday School. We had election of officers & a good many were there. The Youngs paid a visit afterwards and we listened to Roosevelt on the radio.
Commentary
On October 23, 1940, Roosevelt was giving a campaign address in Philadelphia.
