HB Journal for Oct 18, 1940

From Brackbillwiki

Another cold fall morning captured the atmosphere to hold it in a frosty grip.

The men wanted their checks again because it was payday. Nothing else made it outstanding at the office.

I left my job late in the afternoon to take Jane up to Church where the young people were preparing to serve supper to a meeting of the District of Young People. We had a busy time but when the time came we served 50 people quite nicely. The banquet was not outstanding but nice. Donald Scott spoke at a service afterwards.
