HB Journal for May 7, 1939
From Brackbillwiki
Getting up early was not difficult after my good night's sleep. I went to S.S. & Church as usual and was repaid in the usual fashion.
Jane came home with me for dinner. In the afternoon we gave up a trip to Peach Bottom to go to the Buchers'. We had a nice visit and a wonderful supper. We hurried back to Paradise to C.E. and church.
It was really hot all day & I actually sweated. The night was warm & close contact made it no cooler.
Mary Jane was whisked away from us after church, that should be nothing to me, but I feel it & won't deny it "for love nor money."
