HB Journal for May 13, 1939

From Brackbillwiki

Having up since eleven and had breakfast, or what and gone to the mill, I started the day watching the boys playing cards at the mill.

I didn't have trouble passing the time and soon it was day light and the men came to work again.

Although I had permission to go home, I preferred to stay and help the men. We got busier than was expected and I was glad I stayed.

In the afternoon I hauled a load of furniture to our home to be and spent some time setting up beds & putting up curtains.

It was wet & rainy again, but I guess the warm clear weather is saving itself for next Sat.
