This was a pretty husky day here. As usual I went to work in the morning and we put in a pretty busy time.

In the afternoon there were a good many things I would like to have done. Dad wanted me to have a load of peas, I should have worked in my garden, mowed my yard etc and we were invited to Marg & Willis' and I was kinda achin to go to Chestnut Level; but I went back to the office to the same old grind.

In the evening Jane went down home a little. Then we went to bed early.
