HB Journal for Jun 21, 1940
From Brackbillwiki
Cherries are ripe and I recall having been expected to get up early and pick them. It wasn't summer to me today, even though it is June 21, --it was very cool and we had the furnace going at the office.
Jane picked some cherries later and with Nancy's help canned about 8 quart.
"Daddy" Young returned home this afternoon. It was pay day, and busy.
After supper I went to East Branch meeting and we planned summer picnic and even fall Rallies. It was a lovely night. The big yellow moon just came up as I came home. Jane was in bed.
