HB Journal for Jul 3, 1939
From Brackbillwiki
Monday, that means get up and go to work. It doesn't seem so bad because tomorrow is a holiday.
The new wheat is coming in to the mill today, some fit to mill and some too tough. We are just finishing the old crop up. Every thing together makes us considerably busy.
After working late and eating later, Jane and I loaded Nancy & "Mamma" and went to Sheaffers to pick some raspberries. We got 6 qt apiece and visited a nice long while.
After returning home, we went directly to bed and entered upon a good night's sleep.
