HB Journal for Jul 19, 1939
From Brackbillwiki
Now this morning is different, quite, Our potatoes needed dusting so badly that I just had to get up 15 minutes earlier and dust them. I had to waken Harold for breakfast so the bed must have been comfortable. I took him home before I went to work.
Today everything was all right. The afternoon just flew. We worked till six hauling wheat in. After supper Nancy came and she & Jane played duets on the piano - I read a couple of chapters of "The Virginian" and after Jane took Nancy home, repaired to bed and other nocturnal pleasures.
