HB Journal for Jul 18, 1939
From Brackbillwiki
I was practically "dead to the world" this morning and as usual I felt "fit as a fiddle" once I started to work.
It was a day as nearly perfect as one could wish for. Not only the weather, but every minute was most enjoyable. We were getting wheat in by the truckload.
After work I went in "home" & saw Kenny & Bobby. I saw Aunt Phi___ earlier. I brought Shorty here for supper and as an over-night guest. He brought Mary Jane for the evening & we had a very nice time. Icecream was enjoyed by all. We all took her home (by her consent).
