HB Journal for Jan 20, 1940

We didn't get up very early but Groffie was late and we weren't caught.

It was pretty cold again and John didn't get to the mill till late and so the boys had a good chance to warm their hands between times.

The mill went on the blink just as I started up but we got it fixed.

After dinner I fooled around home here. I killed two of my prize chickens.

In the evening we went to visit Aunt Mary & Uncle Ralph. We played Chinese Checkers & to top it off we had another of those good midnight lunches.
