HB Journal for Aug 8, 1939
From Brackbillwiki
Dot was the last one up this morning. We took her as far as the mill, then she started to walk.
We found ourselves busier at the mill today. We put more wheat into the mill than we thought it would hold.
Well, about 3 oclock this morning, to change the subject, it rained. Maybe I should say it poured, anyway, in the course of the event, it soaked the ground up wonderfully.
After supper Jane ironed again - I washed the dishes & visited Mother Y. & Nancy. It gets dark much earlier.
