HB Journal for Aug 6, 1939
From Brackbillwiki
Sunday is always a wonderful day, but this Sunday was an exception.
Our minister's father, Rev. J. Warren Kaufman of Phila. preached the sermon and it was a wonderful one. Jane & I went home to the farm for dinner & of course enjoyed it. We swam with a large crowd in the afternoon. Uncle Ivan's were visiting. Flossie & we all went over there for supper. Elsie & Ellis, Eunice, Val & the whole Brackbill tribe.
Dot led C.E. & we had a couple visitors from Middle Octoraro. We then drove over to Sheaffers & finished the day with a swell evening.
The weather was swell, too.
