HB Journal for Aug 25, 1940

Sunday and company all day long. Eunice still is our cook and we took advantage of that.

Excepting Jane & the baby, we all went to S.S. & Church. We had "killed old white rooster" for dinner with Mother Y. & Nancy as special guests.

In the afternoon we played croquet a while but it rained and made us stop. We spent the rest of the time indoors.

I went to C.E. but few were there. We had a meeting. We talked to Kauffmans afterwards.

When bedtime came, we surely were sleepy.
