Exactly one half hour late, we awakened to the fact that it was time to get up. Result -- late for Groffie & late for work.
It was about as hot and sticky this forenoon as it possibly could have been. We were not rushed at work but sweated ourselves wet.
In the afternoon it rained and a thundershower, or rather storm, set fire to Jonas Smoker's barn & razed it.
In the evening the executive committee of the County Chorus met here. Kathryn G. & Elizabeth Rutt were them. We met, ate, & looked at presents.
The air is full of storm again.
