Jane said I was ambitious because I got up at seven and took a bath & started breakfast before she got up.

It was hot again and we roasted in Sunday School. We didn't stay for church and, believe me, we (or I) surely missed it. Instead, we went over home & got Dad & Mother B. & went to Uncle Ivan's, Pottstown, for dinner.

It was hot & the kids did what they could to ruin my flannel trousers. We came home about eight bringing Janice along back. It was gusty & looked like rain when we got home, about nine thirty. It was still hot.
