Jane said that this is twice now that I went back to sleep after she got up and I was late as a result.

No ill resulted from it, though, for we were not so very busy at the mill. Consequently, we were finished by noon & came home to surprise Jane by my timelyness.

I mowed lawn, trimmed, etc in the afternoon. Nancy was here a little. We took baths and had supper.

After supper we vainly waited for someone to come to visit us. I read & pondered while Jane planed the piano. It's bedtime & no guests.
