I waked, cat-naped, and dreamed alternately this morning until it was half hour past time to get up.

When we got to the mill, the wheels were already turning and John was back on the job. We were real busy but got finished in good time.

After supper Jane raked & mowed the yard & I trimmed hedge & mowed until dark. Then Jane ironed & I washed & dried the supper dishes.

It is a perfect late summer evening, dark real soon and not warm, crickets & katydids.
