HB Journal for Aug 22, 1939
From Brackbillwiki
As I take my pen in hand to write the events of this day in my book, I reflect with no small amount of sadness the things that have been done poorly.
I am quick to smile & be glad when a day has passed with little friction, and, although the day has been pleasant to me, still I remember some regrets.
The boys at the mill balked again. The U.C.C.E. doggie roast I consider a flop for no boy took interest. The Guild remained unentertained.
