We couldn't get ourselves to feel like getting up, but we managed it all right. We had to hurry too much to suit me.

I walked down and went along with Groffie to work. We found ourselves quite busy and worked hard to get finished by quitting time and were but an hour late.

It sprinkled a few sparse drops of rain & was cloudy almost all day.

After another fine supper, I got the old hoe and exterminated some grass and weeds from the potato patch.

Aunt May, Nancy & Esther, were here a little while in the evening.
