Eating
From Aryez
Book 40 of the Marfat
40: Eating
1. First and foremost, the Lord says to
2. you: “Do not resort to eating other
3. people. There is no greater barbarity. It
4. is better to starve to death.” Now
5. Jesus, the prophet said: “It is not
6. what goes into your mouth that makes you
7. unclean; rather the thoughts and words that come out of you
8. make you unclean.” Therefore, we should
9. focus on our hearts and not what we
10. eat. God make all things equally and
11. all living things are equal in His eyes. Thus, do not follow dietary restrictions.
Commentary: The basic point of this book is that various rites, rituals, and ceremonies are not the essence of religion or good living. Being a good person has nothing to do with what you wear or what you eat. That is why dietary restrictions for the sake of “purity” are nonsensical. For after all, the goodness or evil in a person comes from their soul, from inside of them, not from outside sources. Also in the book, one can find a directive against cannibalism and a statement that all living things are equal in the sense that they are equally living and have all devised equal evolutionary paths to adapt and survive and live.
