The Armed Forces of Aryez (I Hese en Aryez) is the national military of Aryez and consists of the Army, Navy, Air-Force, Imperial Guard [now mostly ceremonial], Space Forces, Missile Forces, Local Militias, and several other divisions.
Aryezi soldiers may be bioengineered and enhanced for combat. They also carry highly advanced and hi-tech weapons. None the less, they are also highly trained in hand-to-hand combat. Every Aryezi adult serves one year (at the age of 18) in local militias for training (these militias are never deployed oversees and remain solely defensive purposes). Every Aryezi person remains a part of a local militia for the rest of his/her life after the one year of duty and may be called to defend his/her locality at any time (this duty is dormant except for in times of war). Afterwards, anyone may join the armed forces or a paramilitary; in times of strife, a draft may be implemented. Aryezi troops serve in divisions without regards to race, gender, ideology, ethnicity, or religion. Local militias may be called from the populace at any time and can assemble within 3 hours; local militia maintain giant communal arsenals. The armed forces of Aryez receive about 10% of the Aryezi budget [100 billion US dollars] (see Aryezi Tax and Budget System). The Aryezi military is always ready and Aryez is highly militarized. The Armed Forces currently have 5 million active members, and since everyone is technically part of a militia that can be called up in times of war, Aryez's reserve forces number its entire adult population, around 180 million people (Aryezi has 378 million people).
Traditionally the commanders of the Aryezi army have been based on Christos Adamapolous and have been given the generic name of General Xrizdaz. The Armed Forces are part of the Military Branch of the Aryezi government.
The Armed Forces are closely connected to numerous paramilitary forces (distinct from the Armed Forces though, but also part of the Military Branch of the Government) such as the "AAK (Aryezi Ar-Kamand, the Aryezi version of the CIA, FBI, and KGB combined)"," "Elites (the commander is generically based on Brijen Patel ," "Army of God on the Earth," and "Aryezi People's Liberation Army/Free People's Liberation Army/Guardians of Aryez."
Aryez is self-sufficient in weaponry and armor and produces almost all of its weaponry, and advanced weaponry. Aryez has nuclear and extra-nuclear weapons.
