Heaven
From Apocalypseblade
Heaven, as seen in Blades of the Apocalypse, draws heavily from the Heaven of Christian mythology. It is the realm of angels and the home of God.
Geography
Heaven is, for the most part, sprawling fields. The geographical size of Heaven is massive - almost double that of the entire planet of Etrah. The Holy Archives can be found in the west, not far from the walls of Heaven. The Archives are sealed by chains forged by Pyrodeus, and only one with a key to the lock may open it. (Pyrodeus does not have a key; however, he is able to bypass his own magic and enter the Archives at will.) The Sacred Altar of Divine Power, where the angelic ritual Magres Xerfal is completed, can be found to the north. The Gates of Heaven are due south, the only entrance to Heaven short of jumping the wall - a nearly impossible task, and a fool's errand; those who enter Heaven and are not fully angelic in heritage or pure of heart will be racked with pain simply after entering the realm.
Broken Heaven
The reign of Arius has destroyed the balance of the realms, perhaps the greatest example of which being the damage done to Heaven. The floor of Heaven literally fell through in several places, causing several angels to plummet to Etrah. The angels were also given free will, a privilege reserved only for archangels and to a lesser extent Warrior Angels. Many became Rogue Angels with their new freedom, others simply wander Etrah, unsure of which side to take or even if they wish to take a side. A few angels have allied themselves with entities they knew in life, such as Visignis finding and allying himself with powerful Perceiver Drake the Powerful, a human he knew in life who is now an angel.
