History

AZ JOURNAL STUFF

Zar somehow ended up on Star World, at Keelhaul Key, where he was imprisoned by Captain Cortez for attempting to steal some of his treasure. Later The Yoshi Bodyguards arrived looking for two koopas also on the ship, and Zar recognized the name Koop from his time with Az. He convinced them to help him get free, and Cortez demanded that they find his skull gem, which had been stolen earlier. In a burst of randomness, Koop suggests they search under Top's hat, which reveals to have an entire town underneath it that the skull gem thief, Popple, had somehow entered.

Zar chased Popple to a building and there was a scuffle, during which the skull gem flew out a window; Zar leapt out and grabbed it, landing on Dr. Pikachu. With the skull gem and a captured Popple, they returned to Cortez, who took the skull gem and gave Zar his necklace back. At the time Koop had been searching for his kidnapped family, and they learned that Popple had been working for the kidnappers. Popple pointed them back to the town as the location of another of Koop's siblings, and they reentered the town.

Zar located a locked door with Koop's sibling behind it, and they suspected that Popple had the key. When they left the town, though, they emerged at a different building, which Koop identified as the Yoshi Bodyguards HQ. With the location of Popple unknown, Zar went off to try and find him. Instead he found Anubis, who had been missing for months; Az was in trouble, and Anubis had to go and help him. A month or two later they contacted the YB and they learned they were both in trouble; they had traveled to Hylia at Koholint Isle, where they had been trapped. The YB travels to the planet and sails to the island on a wooden ship.

Along the way they're caught in a storm and thrown overboard; they landed on Koholint and met up with Az and Anubis. They're told to find eight instruments so that they can leave the island, but a coyote named Mermus appears trying to gather them first. Later Mermus attacks a village, and when the YBs arrive to stop him they find he is being helped with versions of the YBs from an opposite universe. Zar's opposite version, Rza, was a fully-evolved Sceptile, but he was still able to defeat him.

Zar then tried to help Asmodeus, but Mermus held him in place and looked into his mind, saying that he was evil. Mermus destroyed Zar's necklace and tried to break his psyche, but fled when Sabuin arrived. Zar eventually woke back up, feeling slightly better, and they traveled up the mountain to enter the egg and escape the island. There, however, the Wind Fish showed them the dead Winter and Az's father, supposedly saved by the Wind Fish, but Zar saw his destroyed necklace being worn by Winter and it was revealed to be a trick. The YBs then fought their opposite-counterparts and made it back to the real world.

this is the only record of zar's past:

Sneen: I do. On Polomo. Well, I don't know the full story, since I had at one point left and lived on an island seperate from the main one. It started with that necklace of his... it originally belonged to Belle, who is was a Sneasel on the island-

Top: Hey yeah, wasn't she at the HQ for a bit? Why was she there? If you don't like Polomo, why'd you bring someone from there here? Do you l-

Sneen: THAT'S ENOUGH OUT OF YOU!! Ugh... Well, Belle had bad luck all the time. She ran a bar which I think was destroyed multiple times. Anyway, it was surmised that the necklace was the cause of the bad luck. Belle gave it to Zar to test it out, and it seemed to make him go crazy or something. And it wouldn't leave him. From what I heard, he went to an island called Ghost Haunted Isle and was controlling ghosts or something. I think he tried to destroy the island. I know I got sick so I think I was sick on LGI around that time, then later some Pokemon at the island told me what happened. I think it was a Spoink. Anyway, it wasn't long after that I left. So that's what I remember. Hopefully it'll help.
